Buenavista: Daute’s seafood market

A tribute to the history and indigenous culture of the Canary Islands.

The name of this ship, and that of all those in our Fred. Olsen Express fleet, pays tribute to the history and indigenous culture of our homeland. Would you like to know where the name Buenavista Express comes from?

To understand the name Buenavista, we must set sail for the 16th century and head north-west of Tenerife, leaving its cliff-lined coast astern until we spot a broad coastal plain. Once we are off this "isla baja" surrounded by imposing cliffs, we will drop anchor at Puerto del Buen Jesús.
