All our ships are accessible to wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. We have adapted, and continue to improve, our on-board facilities and services so that they can be used by all our clients on equal conditions. See the services we provide below:
We are certified in Universal Accessibility based on the UNE 170001 standard. This guarantees everyone, regardless of age or disability, the same possibilities to access our facilities with the greatest possible independence.
Book it 48 hours in advance: If you would like assistance boarding or disembarking, we recommend that you let us know at least 48 hours before your trip.
Arrive on time: To offer this service under the highest quality conditions, it is essential that you arrive at least 10 minutes before the usual boarding time. If you travel without a vehicle: 30 minutes prior to departure. If you travel with a vehicle: 50 minutes prior to departure.
Notify your arrival: let our personnel know that you are waiting and that you have requested the service. If you travel without car, the meeting point is the office in the terminal. If you travel with a vehicle, you must inform our parking personnel at the boarding area.
Any of our clients with disabilities (physical, visual or any that require assistance), elderly people, families with strollers and/or baby carriers or with other difficulties to embark and disembark, either on foot or with a vehicle.
Important: if you wish to board with a vehicle, you must have a handicapped parking card.
Our assistance service adapts to the way you travel. To provide you with the best possible assistance, please specify your needs during your purchase and be present well in advance of boarding (at least 10 minutes before the usual time). The support services we offer are as follows:
If you travel with a vehicle: We will board your vehicle first and assign you an accessible parking space near the ramp or elevator leading to the lounges. We will provide you with access to the ramp or lift and escort you along a safe route. Important: You must arrive well in advance to be placed in the first row of the vehicle boarding area, in the accessible reserved spaces, and you must have a handicapped parking card.
If you travel without a vehicle:
You can request our assistance service in any of our purchase channels: on our website, by calling our Call Centre or by asking for it at our sales terminals.
Our recommendation is that you book it on our website during your purchase process. To request assistance through this channel you must select the option "Do you need special assistance?" that you will find in STEP 3 of the purchase process, after completing your personal data. Once you have selected this option, you must select the type of assistance you require. The options we offer are as follows: Passenger in need of assistance, passenger travelling with a wheelchair, passenger with a Ferry Bus reservation travelling with a wheelchair or passenger needing a wheelchair to access the passenger deck. If you travel with a guide or assistance dog, you can access any part of our ships without prior notice. However, it is essential that the assistance dog has its corresponding identification visible and that the traveller submits the official documentation that associates them with the dog.
All conventional non-powered wheelchairs can access our ships*. Electric vehicles (motorised wheelchairs) may also have access provided that they do not exceed the dimensions of the on-board facilities and that there is capacity to accommodate them in the wheelchair area. If you require assistance during your crossing, but not when boarding, you must inform the crew upon arrival. On board you will find the following services:
You can enjoy our service throughout the ship. We also have a specially accessible area connected with ramps, near the accessible emergency exit, the rest of the services and with adapted chairs.
We offer free assistance by trained personnel. You will be assisted when boarding, during voyage and when disembarking. The assistance does not include nursing or health care.
We have adapted toilets and seats, anchor points for wheelchairs, information in Braille, barrier-free routes and magnetic induction loops*. *Available at Benchijigua, Bañaderos and Bajamar Express.
