Bajamar: A Vibrant Seafaring Culture

A tribute to the indigenous history and culture of the Canary Islands.

The name of this ship and of all those in our Fred. Olsen Express fleet is a tribute to the indigenous history and culture of our homeland. Would you like to know where the name Bajamar Express comes from?

To understand this name, we must set course for the coast of Anaga (Tenerife) and disembark in this fishing village linked to the Tejina region (San Cristóbal de La Laguna), although the name Bajamar is common along the shores of the Canary Islands, especially on La Palma.
