Accessibility Statement

Introduction

At Fred. Olsen Express, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone. We continuously work to make our website and digital services accessible and usable by all users, regardless of their abilities, age or personal circumstances.

This Accessibility Statement is based on the latest version of the harmonised European standard EN 301 549, the European accessibility standard approved by the European Commission. This standard sets out accessibility requirements for information and communication technology products and services.

This statement applies to www.fredolsen.es, excluding embedded content originating from external domains. However, Fred. Olsen Express and its third-party providers actively work to improve the accessibility of external content included within our digital services, with the aim of delivering the most inclusive user experience possible.

Our aim is to continuously identify, monitor and remove accessibility barriers in order to provide an inclusive and seamless experience for all users.

Beyond regulatory compliance, Fred. Olsen Express strives to exceed legal accessibility requirements. We are committed to achieving the highest accessibility standards, pursuing WCAG AAA conformance where feasible, continuously improving the usability of our digital services, and obtaining certifications that demonstrate our commitment to accessibility excellence.

To achieve this goal, we have implemented a comprehensive Digital Accessibility Service (D.A.S.). This includes specialised training for our teams, accessibility assessment and continuous improvement processes, and proactive measures across our websites and mobile applications, with the ultimate objective of providing a truly inclusive digital experience for all users.

Accessibility Standards and Measures
Fred. Olsen Express follows the EN 301 549 standard to ensure the accessibility of its website and digital services. Some of the measures implemented to improve accessibility include:

(9.1.1.1) A comprehensive review of all meaningful images is being carried out to ensure that appropriate alternative text (alt text) is provided, making visual information accessible to people with visual impairments.

(9.1.3.1) Structural elements such as headings, field groups, lists and tables are being audited to verify that visual relationships are also correctly represented in the underlying code.

(9.1.4.1) Additional visual indicators, such as underlining, icons or explanatory text, are being added so that colour is not the sole means of conveying information.

(9.1.4.3) Automated and manual tools are being used to verify that text-to-background contrast meets the minimum requirements needed to ensure readability.

(9.1.4.4) Checks are being undertaken to ensure that content can be enlarged up to 200% using browser functionality without loss of functionality or information.

(9.2.4.4) Link text is being improved to make it more descriptive and understandable without requiring additional context.

(9.4.1.2) Work is ongoing to enhance the semantic accessibility of all custom components, ensuring that they correctly communicate their role, state and value to assistive technologies.
