The name of this vessel, like all those in the fleet of Fred. Olsen Express, pays tribute to the history and indigenous culture of our land. Want to know where Barlovento Express comes from?

To understand the name Barlovento, we must set our course for the 16th century and abarloar at the Puerto de Talavera, located in the northeast of La Palma. However, this place name is not exclusive to the “Beautiful Island,” as it also appears on other islands such as El Hierro, where it designates a region with the same geographical orientation.
