Always with you | Our history in video

The twenty-one miles that separate San Sebastian de La Gomera from the town of Los Cristianos, south of Tenerife, marked the beginning of our journey. These more than 33 kilometers were the trigger for a new era in inter-island communications and our first challenge. This adventure was joined by brave companions and famous personalities, who will always sail with us.

The commissioning of the line connecting La Gomera and Tenerife with the ship Benchijigua was a great revolution for the residents of the Colombian island. For the first time, they had the opportunity to easily access other islands and receive supplies and other services, such as mail, more quickly. It was also the beginning of a new stage in which tourists from different parts of the world began to visit the island, attracted by its landscape and characteristics. After the success of our proposal of trips between Tenerife and La Gomera, we sought to offer other inter-island connections. Thus, in 1981, our voyage was directed towards our first new stage: Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Canary Islanders were eager to travel, so soon this route was also regularized and we were able to continue opening other lines throughout the archipelago. From the first time we cast off the moorings to the berth in the port of destination, we have traveled a 50-year journey driven by innovation. Our purpose: to optimize everything that represents an improvement in connectivity in the Canary Islands and in our shipping model. We tell you more here:

The sea has always been for us more than just an obstacle to overcome in connectivity. We value our coasts and the ocean as a natural environment, our unique seascapes, the many native species and the cultural factor that make it part of the Canary Islands' and our own identity. Our beginnings date back to our purpose of responding to the communication and supply needs of the inhabitants of La Gomera, and later of other islands. Therefore, we can say that part of our success is based on our commitment to the Canarian society. And this commitment has also been accompanied by our goal of making travel on our ships an accessible option for as many people as possible.
