The name of this ship, and that of all the vessels in our Fred. Olsen Express fleet, pays tribute to the history and indigenous culture of our land. Would you like to know where the name Benchijigua Express comes from?
 
To understand this name, we must travel back to the 15th century and set foot in the ancient district of Hipalan, which encompassed the current municipality of San Sebastián and part of Alajeró.
