How to get to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Terminal

Departures to Fuerteventura and Huelva operate from different piers. To avoid confusion on the day of your journey, check the exact departure point listed on your ticket before traveling to the port.

How to get to the Fuerteventura departure pier

To reach the Fred. Olsen Express terminal in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria by car, take the main coastal avenue (GC-1) until you arrive at Plaza de Belén María, then take the first exit on the right. Follow the port signs until you reach the Fred. Olsen Express boarding area.

If you are travelling on foot or by public transport, you can take the bus. Two bus companies operate routes to Puerto de La Luz: the municipal bus company of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria offers several lines serving the port, such as lines 1, 33, X47 or 12. If you are travelling from outside Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, you can use Guaguas Global, which connects the capital with various points across the island.

The boarding times are as follows:

With a vehicle: Boarding for passengers with a vehicle closes 40 minutes before the ship's departure, so you must be at the dock and ready to board well in advance.
On foot: Boarding for passengers without a vehicle closes 20 minutes before the ship's departure, unless otherwise specified on the ticket.

How to get to the Huelva boarding pier

IMPORTANT: The boarding pier for Huelva is different from the Fuerteventura ferry departure point.

To travel from the terminal to the Huelva departure pier, continue along Explanada Tomás Quevedo until you reach the roundabout. There, take the first exit towards Muelle de León y Castillo and continue straight, keeping an eye on the road signs until you reach the boarding area.

With a vehicle: You must be at the pier ready to board between 2 hours and 1 hour before the ferry departure to complete the necessary checks.
On foot: If you are traveling without a car, you must arrive at the pier 1 hour in advance to board.
