Revolution in maritime transport
The ferry Bencomo Express is one of the five high-speed ships catamarans of the Fred. Olsen Express fleet.
It was first put into to action on 25 October 1999 on the route between Agaete (Gran Canaria) and Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Tenerife) and has revolutionised sea links between these ports. Every day thousands of passengers select this service between the two capital cities due to the high level of comfort, speed and punctuality offered by this vessel.
The Bencomo Express is a wave piercing catamaran, one of the most modern in its class in the whole world, and has adapted well to the special seafaring conditions in the waters surrounding the Canary Islands.
Once on board passengers can make the most of 3 bars, a boutique, large, well-lit lounges and comfortable seating.
The sister ship, the Bentago Express, also offers passengers the possibility to travel in the Gold Class, a quiet, exclusive area situated in the stern of the ship. The spectacular views, the free refreshments and preference in embarking and disembarking by car are factors which have made the Gold Class a true favourite, especially amongst business people.
